The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news on Monday as former player Mike Jarvis was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates at the annual Major League Baseball Draft in Atlanta. Jarvis played at Saddleback in 2017 and 2018 before transferring to San Diego State University.

The win was the first for Saddleback athletics since it officially changed its mascot to the Bobcats on Tuesday, and the first for the baseball program in 11 tries.
