Chaffee is 10th baseball commit
The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this week when the baseball office announced that Tyler Chaffee has committed to a four-year university. Chaffee made a commitment to Cal Poly Pomona earlier in the week.
Chaffee played in 23 games this season, leading the team in at-bats (90) and finishing second in hits (24) while batting .267 for the season. In addition, Chaffee had a .929 fielding percentage for the year.
Chaffee is the 10th Bobcat to commit to a four-year school following the 2021 campaign and the fourth player to commit to Cal Poly Pomona.
Cal Poly Pomona plays an NCAA D2 schedule within the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Broncos finished 13-8 overall and 11-5 in CCAA play in 2020 before taking the 2021 season off for COVID-19.
