Stevens and Holt headline All-OEC Team

The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this week as the Orange Empire Conference completed its selections for the all-conference team.  Rhys Stevens and Ethan Holt were named to the first team.

Stevens and Holt were two pillars in the pitching staff for the entire season.  Stevens led the staff with a 4-1 record, finishing with a 3.79 ERA.  He led the team in innings pitched (38) and strikeouts (47), starting seven games.  Holt was a monster out of the pen, finishing 1-0 with two saves and a 0.90 ERA for the year.  Holt appeared in a team-leading 11 games, surrendering just two earned-runs in 20 innings of work.

Joining Stevens and Holt on the All-Orange Empire Conference Team were Matt Comnos and Danilo Tiotuico, who were both named to the second team.  Comnos started seven games and finished 2-0 with a 2.75 ERA.  Tiotuico played in 22 games, batting .325 with a team-high seven doubles.

Saddleback finished the season 14-14 overall and 9-9 in Orange Empire Conference play.
