The Saddleback women's volleyball team defeated Riverside City College, 3-0, on Friday night inside the Saddleback gymnasium. The Bobcats are now 4-1 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play.
Saddleback got off to a slow start, digging themselves into an early hole by falling behind 10-3 in the opening set. From that point forward it was all Bobcats as they powered their way past the Tigers. Saddleback finished on a 22-10 run to win the opening set 25-20.
Riverside City had no answers for the Fresenius sisters, with Stila Fresenius hammering balls off passes from her sister, Drae Fresenius.
Saddleback is now 8-3 overall and 4-1 in OEC play. The Bobcats are currently in first place in OEC play, leading both Irvine Valley College and Orange Coast College by a half game.
Saddleback will be back in action next Wednesday when they travel to Orange Coast College to take on the Pirates. Match time is scheduled for 6:00 PM in Costa Mesa.
