Cats win third straight

The Saddleback volleyball team improved to 3-0 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play with a 3-0 win against Santiago Canyon College on Friday night inside the stadium.  The Bobcats are now 7-2 overall.

Saddleback defended its home court winning streak, improving to 6-0 at home this season with the win on Friday.  The Bobcats raced past the Hawks to move into first place in the OEC with a 25-9, 25-21, 25-10 victory.

Stila Fresenius was up to her old tricks, finishing with 23 kills in 31 attempts to lead the Bobcats.  She also led the squad with eight digs for the match.

Olivia Gonzalez was busy dishing out the assists, finishing with 34 in a match that lasted just over an hour.  Bryn Craig-Kromm led the team with five service aces. 

Saddleback is now 7-2 overall and 3-0 in OEC play.  The Bobcats will be on the road on Wednesday when they travel to Irvine Valley.  The Bobcats and Lasers are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in Irvine.
