Savoie says yes to Anna Maria

The Saddleback women's volleyball program was back in the news this week as a member of the 2019 team has committed to a four-year school.  Sophomore Shay Savoie will continue her collegiate volleyball career at Anna Maria College.

Savoie played both indoor and beach volleyball for the Gauchos and will head to Anna Maria to play indoors this fall.  Anna Maria is located in Paxton, Massachusetts, and plays an NCAA D3 schedule within the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

Savoie played in 43 matches in two season at Saddleback, totaling 403 digs, 38 service aces and 30 assists.  Her biggest match of the 2019 season came against Rio Hondo College when she recorded 21 digs.

Savoie lettered in volleyball, track, softball and rugby at Sturgeon Composite High School in Namao, Canada, before graduating in 2018.  While at SCHS, Savoie was the female athlete-of-the-year and the captain of the volleyball team.

Savoie is the second member of the 2019 indoor team to commit to a four-year university.
