Women's Track & Field 13th at SoCal Finals

The Saddleback women's track & field team finished 13th at the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) Southern California Regional Finals on Friday at San Diego Mesa College.  The Bobcats had four top-10 finishes.

Isabelle Teh led the way for Saddleback when she finished second in the pole vault.  Teh cleared 3.40 meters on her first attempt.  It tied her biggest vault of the year and keeps her in sixth in the state this season.

Chelsea Kerr and Rachel Whitten finished 4-5 in the triple jump at Mesa on Friday.  Kerr had a leap of 11.11 meters on her first attempt to finish fourth overall.  She ranks sixth in the state after a jump of 11.49 meters at the Occidental College Meet earlier in the season.  Whitten went 11.09 on Friday for her best jump of the year.  It was good enough to finish in fifth place at the SoCal Finals on Friday.

Amanda McFadden picked up some team points when she finished sixth in the discus throw.  McFadden had her best toss of the season on her first attempt when she had a throw of 39.06 meters.  It moved her into 13th in the state this season.

Saddleback will compete again at the 3C2A State Finals in Modesto next Friday.
