Bobcats third at OEC Finals

The Saddleback men's cross country team finished third at the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Friday at Miles Square Park in Fountain Valley.  The Bobcats had three runners make the all-conference squad.

Saddleback saved some of its best for the OEC Finals, as three harriers had top-10 finishes to make the All-Orange Empire Conference Team.  Eric Dillon led the Bobcats with a sixth place finish when he crossed the finish line in 20:54.37.  Jaeden Cornejo was right on his heels, finishing seventh in a time of 21:03.01.  As a result of finishing in the top seven, both runners were named to the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team.  Mitch Groff also finished in the top-10 as he was ninth in a time of 21:16.98, putting him on the All-OEC Second Team.

Rounding out the team score for Saddleback were Darin Hoi (22:31.59) and Devin Martinez (22:45.84), who finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively. 

Saddleback had a team total of 63 points to finish third behind Riverside City College (31) and Orange Coast College (41). 

Saddleback will compete again at the Southern California Regional Finals next Friday at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.
