Pizano-Pintor leads Bobcats to third place finish

The Saddleback men's cross country team finished in third place at the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Friday in Buena Park.  Brandon Pizano-Pintor finished fifth in individual competition as the Bobcats challenged for second place in team competition.

Pizano-Pintor hung around the group at the front for the majority of the race.  He finished the 4-mile trek in 22:27.5, which was 31.7 seconds off the pace set by Riverside City's Abel Ramos.  For Oizano, the fifth pace finish was good enough to put him on the Orange Empire Conference First Team as a result of finishing in the top seven.

Joining Pizano-Pintor on the All-OEC Team was Santiago Sanchez, who made the second team as a result of finishing 12th in the race.  Sanchez finished in a time of 22:55.0.

Saddleback was just five points of Orange Coast College, who finished second in the team competition.  Riverside City captured the men's title by finishing 1-3-4-6-8 in the race.
