Orozco leads Gauchos to fourth place finish at preview event

Sophomore Ulysses Orozco placed fourth overall to lead the Saddleback men's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Southern California Regional preview meet held on Friday in San Diego.

Orozco covered the 4-mile course in 20:54 as Saddleback posted 289 team points, finishing in a tie with West Los Angeles.  Brian Aguirre placed 54th (22:28) with Miles Brubacher just a couple steps behind in 57th position (22:30) while Mark Delgado placed 64th (22:35).

There were 30 teams and over 200 runners in the meet, which is a preview of what the teams can expect when they get to the post-season.

Saddleback placed 10th at the Southern California Regional and 14th at the state championship meet last season.
