Women’s water polo destroys Modesto

The women's water polo team took a trip to the Central Valley this past weekend and came out on the winning side of things. The Gauchos demolished the home team Pirates, 11-1.

Saddleback entered the match at 6-6 and looking for some comfort after losing back-to-back Orange Empire Conference games to highly ranked Riverside and Golden West.  The Gauchos moved above .500 with a convincing win, hammering the hometown favorites.

It was the largest margin of victory since beating Cerritos College last year 18-8 on October 24.  It also marked the second straight season the Gauchos have beaten Modesto.

Saddleback is now 7-6 overall and 1-3 in OEC play heading into the week.  The Gauchos will host Orange Coast College on Wednesday.  Match time is scheduled for 3:00 PM
