Willcoxson wins OEC honor

The Saddleback women's volleyball team was back in the headlines on Monday with the news that another member of the team has won the weekly Orange Empire Conference Female Athlete-of-the-Week Award.  Cori Willcoxson had a big night as the Bobcats defeated Golden West on Friday.

Willcoxson was part of a Saddleback lineup that defeated Golden West in four sets (25-17, 25-16, 14-25, 25-23) to remain a half-game back of Orange Coast in the OEC standings.  She finished with 20 kills, 11 digs and three service aces in the win. 

Willcoxson currently leads the team with 191 kills for the year.  She is also third on the team in service aces (33) and fourth on the team in digs (139).

Willcoxson came to Saddleback from Tesoro High School where she lettered in both indoor and beach volleyball before graduating in 2024.  

Saddleback will be back on the court on Wednesday when it hosts Fullerton College at 6:00 PM inside the gymnasium.
