Vienna wins OEC Award

The Saddleback women's volleyball team was back in the news on Monday with the announcement that one of its players has been named the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Female Athlete-of-the-Week.  Sophie Vienna led the Bobcats to consecutive wins to start OEC play.

Vienna had a big week, recording 75 assists and 22 digs in eight sets as the Bobcats won a marathon against Golden West in five sets and swept past Fullerton in three sets.

Vienna is currently second in the state, averaging 9.89 assists-per-set through nine matches.  Her 58 assists against Golden West last week was a career high at Saddleback. 

Vienna came to Saddleback from Edison High School where she lettered in both indoor and beach volleyball.
