Cats too much for Vaqueros

The Saddleback women's volleyball team evened its record with a 3-1 victory over Glendale College on Wednesday in Glendale.  The Bobcats are now 1-1 for the season.

Saddleback bounced back from a disappointing loss to start the season with a comfortable win over Glendale.  The Bobcats and Vaqueros were even at 1-1 heading to the third set when the Bobcats kicked things into gear and ran away from their opponents.  Saddleback dominated the final two sets (25-13, 25-10) in what was likely their best two-game stretch of the season.

Saddleback had solid performances from Sophie Vienna, Meg Gardner, Cori Willcoxson, Brynn Craig-Kromm and Sareh Tajik.  Vienna led the way with 42 assists and 15 digs while Gardner (21) and Willcoxson (17) combined for 48 kills.  Craig-Kromm (pictured) had 14 digs and four service aces while Tajik led the team with six service aces.  In total, the Bobcats had 16 service aces on the night.

Saddleback is now 1-1 to start the season.  The Bobcats will play at San Bernardino Valley on Friday night at 5:00 PM.
