Cats scratch out win at Riverside

The Saddleback women's volleyball team rallied for a 3-2 win at Riverside City College on Wednesday night in Riverside.  The Bobcats are still in the mix for a playoff spot with two games remaining in the regular season.

Saddleback fell behind 1-0 on Wednesday night after dropping the first set 25-19.  The Bobcats then won the next two sets (25-23 & 25-13) before Riverside tied things up at 2-2 with a 25-19 win in set four.  Saddleback trailed 10-7 in the fifth and deciding set before rallying to score eight of the final 10 points in turning back the Tigers.

Saddleback received 24 kills from Sydney Brown and 40 assists from Logan Daniels in the win.  The Bobcats were also solid on defense with Haley Jones recording 20 digs.

Saddleback is now 14-8 overall and 6-8 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats moved up to No. 19 in Southern California in the Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) following the win.  A total of 20 teams will make the playoffs, which start on November 19.

Saddleback has two home dates remaining on the schedule.  The Bobcats will host Orange Coast College on Thursday night at 6:00 PM and Cypress College next Tuesday at 6:00 PM.
