Cats too much for Eagles

The Saddleback women's volleyball team picked up its 12th win of the season on Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over Mt. San Jacinto College inside the gymnasium.  The Bobcats recorded their eighth sweep of the season in the process.

Saddleback and Mt. San Jacinto entered the contest with similar records, so it figured to be a tough test for both squads.  The Bobcats made it look easy, sweeping the Hawks 25-20, 26-24 and 25-20.

Saddleback received 16 kills, nine digs and three service aces from Lilyann Horner in the win.  The 16 kills was a high-point for Horner this season as she finished with a .33 hitting percentage in the match.

Joining Horner with solid numbers was Logan Daniels, who had a team-high 37 assists and a team-high 10 digs.  He 37 assists for Daniels tied her high of the season for a three-set match.

Saddleback is now 12-4 overall.  They jump back into Orange Empire Conference play on Friday with a match at Golden West College.  The Bobcats and Rustlers are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in Huntington Beach.
