The Saddleback women's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to 25 games on Friday with a 2-0 win at Orange Coast College.  The Bobcats lead the Orange Empire Conference with two games remaining in the regular season.

Saddleback scored in the 23rd minute when Emery Simis scored on a penalty kick after Orange Coast was charged with a foul in the box.  It was the fifth goal of the season for Simis and the only goal the Bobcats would need.

Saddleback added an insurance goal in the 70th minute when Chloe Green scored her 31st goal of the year off a pass from Christina Santoyo.  Green has now scored 11 goals in the past four games in taking the state lead in goals scored.

Saddleback's defense clamped down on Orange Coast the rest of the way in recording their fifth straight shutout and 14th shutout of the season.  The Bobcats have gone 515 minutes without surrendering a goal.

Saddleback is now 17-0-1 overall and 11-0-1 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats will play on the road at Irvine Valley College next Tuesday at 3:00 PM, looking to extend the unbeaten streak to 26 games.  The last time Saddleback lost a game was on November 4 of last season.
