Women’s golf 4th in opener

The Saddleback women's golf team started the season with a fourth place finish at the opening Orange Empire Conference match of the season at Soboba Springs Golf Club in San Jacinto.  Freshman Madison Randolph led the way.

Randolph shot +11 (83) on the 5,970-yard layout.  She was followed on the team scorecard by Melissa Elahi (88), Lauren Hambrick (91) and Erica Berger (95).

Saddleback shot 357 as a team to finish seven shots out of second.  Mt. San Antonio won the first event of the year with a score of 320.

Saddleback will play again at the Cuyamaca Invitational next Wednesday at Cottonwood Golf Club.  The first tee time is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
