Bio

Head Coach Nick Trani took over the softball program prior to the 1995 season, guiding the softball program to its first post-season berth in seven seasons. In 28 seasons of coaching women's intercollegiate softball at Saddleback, Trani has accumulated a 611-468-3 overall record.  He has guided his teams to a post-season appearance 15 times, including 10 appearances in the regional finals and two berths in the state tournament. Saddleback captured Southern California regional championship titles following the 1996 and 1999 seasons when they were also state runners-up. The four-time conference coach-of-the-year, Trani is the winningest softball coach in the history of Saddleback College.

Saddleback College is proud of Coach Trani for his highly successful program, promoting excellence both on and off the field and in the classroom. Numerous Saddleback players have played at four-year universities, having earned scholarships from their success at Saddleback.
