Two Bobcats make All-OEC Team
The Saddleback men's cross-country team finished third at the Orange Empire Conference Finals this past weekend. Two members of the team were named all-conference following the race.
Saddleback has a mostly freshman lineup in 2024 and the future looks bright after a third-place finish at the Orange Empire Conference Finals last Friday in Huntington Beach. The Bobcats had two harriers finish in the top 14, which earns a spot on the all-conference squad.
Mike Ayala and Logan Duer finished 13th and 14th, respectively, in the race. Ayala crossed the finish line in 21:45.51 to shave off over five seconds from his time on the same course six weeks earlier at the Golden West Invitational. The big improvement came from Duer, who crossed the tape in 21:46.53 to improve his time by 1:20 from the Golden West Invitational in finishing 14th.
Saddleback will compete again this Friday at the Southern California Regional Finals at Chaffey College.
