Pizano-Pintor guides Bobcats at state

The Saddleback men's cross country team finished 11th at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Finals on Saturday in Fresno.  The Bobcats were led by Brandon Pizano-Pintor, who made the all-state team.

Pizano-Pintor finished 13th overall to make the all-state team for a second straight season.  He crossed the finish line in 20:34, which was just six seconds from a top-10 finish.

Pizano-Pintor was one of five Bobcats that finished in the top-100 overall and top-85 in the team competition.  Santiago Sanchez crossed the finish line in 21:36 to finish 59th among the team participants and 64th overall.  Jullian Dorantes-Lara (21:47) was 66th in the team competition and 72nd overall.  Justin Boos (22:02) was 78th in the team competition and 89th overall.  Jaeden Cornejo (22:15) was 85th in the team competition and 97th overall.

Saddleback's 11th place finish was the fourth best finish at the state finals in the history of the program.
