Shipton guides Bobcats to fourth

The Saddleback men's golf team had its best team score of the season at the Cuyamaca Classic on Wednesday at Steele Canyon Golf Club in San Diego.  Jack Shipton took home medalist honors for the event.

Shipton shot an even par round of 72 on the 6,781-yard layout to edge Riverside City's Bingcheng Zheng by one shot.

Shipton was followed by Tate Garman and Kyle Caudill, who both shot 81 (+9) on Wednesday.  Both finished in a tie for 11^th place in medalist play. 

Cuyamaca won the team event with a score of 397.  College of the Desert was second at 403.  The next six team were separated by just nine shots. 

Saddleback will be back in action next Wednesday at the Eagle Classic at Soboba Springs GC.
