Bunnel says yes to Chadron
The Saddleback football program was back in the news this week as National Signing Day brought some more commitments from the Gaucho program. Linebacker Matthew Bunnel was the latest, bringing the total to 11 for the year.
Bunnel signed with Chadron State College, located in Chadron, Nebraska. The Eagles play an NCAA D2 schedule and are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Bunnel (6'2, 245) played for two season at Saddleback, totaling 23 tackles in 17 games for the Gauchos. In addition, Bunnel excelled in the classroom, making the Dean's List. Bunnel was a 2017 graduated at JSerra High School, lettering in four sports and being part of the student body government.
