Belman looking for records on GSN

Belman looking for records on GSN

Saddleback quarterback Tim Belman is on the cusp of a handful of records as the Gauchos get ready to take on Palomar College at "The Snakepit" on Saturday night.  The game can be seen on the Gaucho Sports Network via streaming video.

Belman has had a second great season and with three games remaining in the regular season has thrown for 5,847 yards on 510-of-822 passes in his two seasons.  Our records show that he has a chance to set a pair of national records on Saturday, and could break another by the end of the season.  With just 12 attempts on Saturday, Belman would break the national record currently held by former Pasadena City quarterback David Pittman (833), who played for the Lancers from 2006-07.  Belman would need 47 completions to eclipse the completion record set by Pittman (556), which is unlikely to happen on Saturday, but very likely next week when Saddleback travels to Grossmont College.  The career-passing yardage record is held by former Marin College quarterback Geary Davenport (2002-03), who threw for 7,072 yards.  Belman would need 1,226 yards passing during the rest of the season to set the national record.

Saturday's game can be seen via streaming video on the Gaucho Sports Network for a minimal fee.  All proceeds from the broadcasts go directly back into the athletics department to help promote the athletes and teams on campus.   If ordering, please follow the instructions closely while subscribing to avoid any technical difficulties.
