Baseball opens at No. 6 in south

The Saddleback baseball season has three weeks in the books and the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association just released its first set of rankings for the year.  Saddleback starts the season at No. 6 in Southern California.

Saddleback is 7-4 out of the gate after a season where they went all the way to the state championship in 2023.  The Bobcats are currently No. 4 in the state with a .335 batting average while J.C. Allen (pictured) leads the state with eight home runs through eleven games.

Orange Empire Conference (OEC) rivals Santa Ana College, Cypress College and Riverside City College locked down the top three spots in the rankings.  Saddleback is one of six OEC programs ranked in the top-15 in Southern California.
