
Cats beat Rustlers in OEC play
The Saddleback women's water polo defeated Golden West College, 10-8, on Wednesday in Huntington Beach. The Bobcats are now 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference play.
Saddleback never trailed in the game, but never led by more than two goals until the fourth quarter. Tied at 7-7 with just over five minutes remaining the Bobcats made their move. Saddleback scored three straight goals in a span of 1:50 to take a 10-7 lead with under two minutes remaining in the contest. Bella Curiel netted the final two for what was her only two goals of the game.
Aibgail Wallace played throughout in goal, making 12 saves to preserve the win. Curiel, Rozann Kotarche and Holliss Munchoff (pictured) all finished with two goals apiece for the game to lead the offense.
Saddleback is now 7-2 overall and 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats will play in the Riverside City College Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
