Women’s swim/dive finishes 9th at Pasadena

The men's and women's swim and dive teams both finished 9th at the Pasadena City College Invitational on Friday and Saturday.  The Gauchos racked up solid points in the dive competition, winning 3-of-4 events.

The PCC Invitational is widely known as one of the top events on the schedule, with 20 men's teams and 22 women's teams competing.  The Gauchos finished in the top half of both with a number of solid performances.

On the women's side, Sarah Duke captured individual gold in the 1-meter dive with a total score of 155.35, finishing nearly 11 points ahead of her closest competitor.  Joining Duke with points was Mia Satterwhite, who finished ninth.  Duke then went on to finish second in the 3-meter dive later in the day.  She was finished, capturing 11th in the 400-Individual Medley with a time of 5:22.70.

Also joining the fun was Raquel Remick, who finished 7th in the 50-Free with a time of 25.52.  Remick then joined Mikayla Kosmala, Sydney Smith and Satterwhite in finishing 7th in the 800-Freestyle Relay (8:54.26) and 13th in the 200-Medley Relay (2:06.48).

Saddleback will compete again at the SoCal Dive Championships at El Camino College on April 13-14.
