Nieto is the second commit
The Saddleback women's soccer team was back in the news this week with the announcement of another commitment to the four-year level. Sophomore star Anjelina Nieto made a commitment over the weekend.
Nieto will play at Concordia University, located in Irvine, California. The Eagles plan an NCAA D2 schedule within the PacWest Conference.
Nieto had a phenomenal 2024 campaign when she finished with a team-leading 15 goals and 37 total points. She was named the Orange Empire Conference MVP after scoring nine goals in conference play, including a pair of goals against Cypress College in a 3-0 win to capture the conference title. Nieto then had a season-best three goals (hat trick) against Long Beach City in the opening round of the 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament.
Nieto is the second member of the 2024 team to commit to a four-year school during the offseason, joining Mason Morton.
