Women’s soccer gets the 3-seed

The women's soccer team found out its playoff fate on Sunday when the brackets for the 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament were announced.  The Bobcats received the No. 3 seed and will host a game on Saturday in the second round of the playoffs.

Saddleback won the Orange Empire Conference title, finishing 12-0-2 in conference play and 15-2-3 overall.  The Bobcats finished with the third highest amount of power points in the southern half of the state and the fourth most in the state. 

Saddleback has a bye for the opening round of the playoffs on Wednesday before facing the winner of Orange Coast College and Long Beach City College on Saturday.  Orange Coast (9-9-3) was given the No.  19 seed and will play at No. 14 Long Beach City (11-4-5) on Wednesday in the opening round.

Saddleback would need to win three regional playoff games to advance to the 3C2A State Tournament on December 6-8 at American River College in Sacramento.
