Cats go low at Arroyo

The Saddleback women's golf team improved to 24-0 in Orange Empire Conference play after shooting a round of 315 at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club on Wednesday in Mission Viejo.  Three Bobcats shot in the 70's for their second lowest round of the season.

Nicole Whipple led Saddleback with a round of +4 (76) on Wednesday to take home first place in medalist play.  Whipple shot 38-38 on the 5,553-yard, par-72 trek. 

Whipple was followed closely by Caitlin Randolph (78), Sabrina Ladd (79) and Kenzie Edson (82) to round out the team scoring.  Randolph's round of 78 was good enough for fourth place in medalist play while Ladd's round of 79 finished in a tie for fifth.  

Saddleback's 315 total was the second best round of the year, following a round of 310 at The College of the Desert Invitational (The Lakes CC) earlier in the season.

Saddleback will play again next Wednesday at Via Verde Golf Club (Mt. San Antonio College, host).
