The Saddleback men's water polo team opened the 2024 season with a 26-0 win against Fullerton College on Wednesday in Fullerton. The Bobcats will play in the Golden West Tournament this weekend.
Saddleback dominated from start to finish, smothering the undermanned Fullerton squad and making a statement on the opening day of the season. The Bobcats scored 12 goals in the opening quarter before taking the foot off the gas pedal.
Fullerton had just seven players to start the game, so the result was never in doubt from the outset. The Bobcats had three first quarter goals from Jayden Rose (pictured), who finished with a team-high four goals on the afternoon.
In total, 12 different Saddleback players entered the scoring books on the day. Cole Jensen, Armand Le Goff, Oliver Child and Cross Viter all had three goals apiece.
Ian Manson and Samuel van Benten both played a half in goal.
Saddleback will play next in the Golden West Tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Bobcats will open with rival Orange Coast College on Friday at 8:40 AM.
