Water Polo dominates down south

The Saddleback men's water polo team went down south to the Southwestern College Tournament on Friday and Saturday and came home with four straight wins.  The Gauchos now sit at 13-16 heading into the Orange Empire Conference Tournament later this week.

Saddleback won against Palomar College (12-7), San Diego Miramar College (28-10), Grossmont College (12-11) and Ventura College (16-9), outscoring their four opponents 68-37.

Saddleback had a ton of fun in game two when they scored a season-high 28 goals against Miramar.  In that game, Andrew Carter had seven goals, Spencer Sellwood six and Ethan Abravanel five as the Gauchos had a 19-5 lead at the half.  Sellwood would finish with 16 goals for the weekend and now has a team-high 67 for the season.

Saddleback will play again in the Orange Empire Conference Tournament on Thursday at Golden West College.
