May finishes third at SoCal Finals

The Saddleback men's track & field team was in action at the 3C2A Southern California Regional Track Finals on Friday at Cerritos College.  Daniel May led the Bobcats with a third place finish in the javelin.

May has been one of the top competitors in the state all season and qualified for the state meet on Friday by finishing third at the SoCal Finals.  His toss of 56.05 meters on his fourth throw of the day earned the team six points while putting May on the podium.

May currently has the second longest throw in the state this season after a toss of 57.80 meters at the Cerritos Invitational in mid-April.

May will compete in the state championships at Saddleback next weekend.  He finished seventh in the state last season.

In addition to May, Ke'sean Goodson finished seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 13.92 meters on his fourth jump of the day.  It was a personal-best for Goodson and the 12th longest leap in the state this season.

Micah Krosby finished ninth in the pole vault with a vault of 4.35 meters.
