Adams wins athlete-of-the-month

The Saddleback men's golf program was back in the news on Wednesday when it was announced that Carson Adams had won some post-season recognition.  Adams was named the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) Athlete-of-the-Month after his stellar month of May.

Adams rocked the state championships when he set a record at the state finals two weeks back to win medalist honors.  Adams shot 10-under-par at Dragonfly Golf Club in Madera to break the old state record of -8 by Chabot College's Jeremy Sanchez in 2015.  He also tied the state record for low total score at 136.

Adams also won the Southern California Regional Finals medalist honors a week earlier at Industry Hills Golf Club when he shot 68-72 to win by two shots. 

Saddleback finished as the state runner-up to Reedley College at the state finals.
