Flag finishes second at Cal Lu

The Saddleback women's flag football team finished second at the California Lutheran University Flag Football Tournament over the weekend in Thousand Oaks.  The Bobcats started with five straight wins before losing in the finals.

Saddleback was impressive throughout, winning five straight games against four-year schools before losing to one of the top club teams in Southern California in the finals. 

The Bobcats finished 3-0 on Friday in the opening round of the tournament, defeating National University (25-0), Arizona State University (19-14) and Cal Lutheran (32-0).  The Bobcats then beat both National (32-0) and ASU (27-7) for a second time on Saturday morning before meeting up with Spartans FC in the tournament finals.  Saddleback made a good showing but came up short in the finals (32-21).

Saddleback is now 7-2 to start the season.  The Bobcats will host Irvine Valley College on Friday.
