Benedix is latest commit

The Saddleback football program was back in the nest this week with the announcement that another member of the 2024 squad has committed to a four-year university.   Sophomore wide receiver Dane Benedix gives the Bobcats 17 commits for the offseason.

Benedix gave a commitment to Louisiana Tech University, located in Ruston, Louisiana.  The Bulldogs play an NCAA D1 schedule within the Conference USA.  Benedix becomes the third member of the team to commit to Louisiana Tech, following quarterback Trey Kukuk and tight end Brayden Bockler.

Benedix was an All-National Division Southern League First Team selection this past season after leading the team in touchdowns.  Benedix finished with 37 receptions for 583 yards and nine scores.

Benedix lettered in football, basketball and track at Capistrano Valley High School before graduating in 2023.  While at CVHS, Benedix was a three-time, all-league selection.
