
Commitments on the rise
The Saddleback football program is back in the news with the announcement of four more commitments to the four-year level. The Bobcats are now up to eight commitments for the offseason.
Joseph Chavez was one of four latest commitments over the holidays for the football program. Chavez committed to the Rice University, located in Houston, Texas. The Owls play an NCAA D1 schedule within the American Athletic Conference.
Chavez was second on the team with 474 total tackles this season, also recording one interception and two pass break-ups. He came to Saddleback from Folsom High School where he lettered in football before graduating in 2023.
Other commitments for Saddleback in recent weeks included Breylon Wyatt (Austin Peay), Brennen Acosta (Northern Colorado), Andrez Lewis (East Texas A&M) and Josh Pikl (East Texas A&M).
