Cova makes Big XII commitment
The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this week with another commitment to a four-year school. Pitcher Sammy Cova made a commitment to a school in the Big XII, according to the baseball office.
Cova committed to the University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Utes play an NCAA D1 schedule within the Big XII Conference.
Cova finished the season 4-3 with a 2.95 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP. His biggest performance of the season came against Riverside City College when he tossed a complete game shutout of the Tigers. It was the first complete game for the program since 2018.
Cova's commitment is the fourth commitment of the offseason for the 2025 squad.
