Cats split at the beach

The Saddleback women's beach volleyball team split a pair of matches against Santa Ana College and Golden West College on Friday at the Newland Courts in Huntington Beach. 

Saddleback opened with a 3-1 win against Santa Ana to sweep the season series with the Dons.  The Bobcats won on courts one, two and four.

Sophie Vienna and Meg Gardner were 21-15, 21-10 winners on court one.  Cori Willcoxson teamed with Delaney Wilson for a 22-20, 21-14 win on court two.  Tatiana Kringel and Tina Toufani then teamed for a 21-18, 21-18 win on court four to seal the team match.

Saddleback fell to Golden West, 5-0, in the late match.

Saddleback is now 5-5 overall and 3-5 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats will host both Cypress College and Fullerton College on Wednesday at Irvine Valley College in matches that were originally scheduled for March 14 but postponed due to rainy conditions.
