Volleyball commitments on the rise

The Saddleback women's volleyball program was back in the news this week with the announcement that two members of the program have committed to four-year universities.  Sarah Patin and Eva Gardner have made their choices.

Patin played beach volleyball this season while Gardner both played indoor and beach volleyball this year at Saddleback.  Patin has committed to play indoor volleyball at La Sierra University while Gardner committed to play beach for Concordia University.

Patin played indoors in both 2021 and 2022, playing in 30 total matches for the Bobcats.  She also played beach this season and in 2022.  She will head to La Sierra, located in Riverside, California.  The Golden Eagles play under the NAIA umbrella within the California Pacific Conference.  Patin arrived at Saddleback after lettering in volleyball, softball and basketball at Cornelia Connelly High School and graduating in 2020.

Gardner is a freshman from Laguna Beach High School where she lettered in volleyball and beach volleyball before graduating in 2022.  She is currently playing beach volleyball during the spring and was part of the indoor program during the fall, being named to the All-Orange Empire Conference Second Team.  Gardner has committed to Concordia, located in Irvine, California.  The Golden Eagles finished third at the AVCA Small College championships in 2023.
