Bio

Hoiseth came to Saddleback as an assistant to the Sports Information Director in 2007. He later took over the lead role of sports information in 2019.  

Since arriving, Hoiseth has introduced new technology to the web site, using the latest in social networking applications as well as creating the Saddleback Sports Network, which features live streaming of games on a pay-per-view basis.   He served as the play-by-play voice on the Saddleback Sports Network for football and the public address announcer at home basketball games for years.  Hoiseth has also taken on other roles in the sports information department such as record-keeping, digital archives and generating content for media guides and brochures.  Hoiseth is solely responsible for all the content on the web site and social media platforms.  He also started an annual report of scholarship monies awarded to Saddleback athletes, which is used by the president of the college at commencement ceremonies as well as athletic administrators.  

In addition to his role at Saddleback, Hoiseth took on the role as the conference representative for women's soccer on the Orange Empire Conference web site in 2016, generating articles to promote the sport and its athletes.

Hoiseth has been in the sports information/public relations industry since the mid 1990's, performing a variety of roles.  He was the Sports Information Director for the Rancho Santiago Community College District  (Santa Ana College & Santiago Canyon College) from 2000-2003, joining the California Community College Sports Information Association and earning the top new web site in the state from CCPRO in 2002. 

Hoiseth graduated from Saddleback College in 1998 with an Associate of Arts Degree in Broadcast Communications.  He then received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism from California State University at Fullerton in 1999.
