Bio

Sanchez joined the staff at Saddleback as an assistant coach in 2024.  

In addition to his coaching responsibilities at Saddleback, Sanchez is the head coach and founder of XALT Hoops Basketball Club, an AAU program he established in July 2023.

Sanchez started coaching in 1990 as a club coach and has coached at varying levels for 35 years.  He played basketball growing up, representing Mexico in international tournaments.  

Sanchez's coaching philosophy is rooted in his comprehensive understanding of basketball strategies, sports psychology, and personalized training methods. He excels in player assessment, creating effective training plans, and adapting his coaching style to meet individual needs. Sanchez's strong communication skills and motivational techniques enable him to effectively convey complex ideas to players, fostering their growth both on and off the court.
