McGinley wins state coaching award

The Saddleback track & field program was back in the news this weekend as it was reported from the track & field office that assistant coach Shaun McGinley was recognized for his efforts this past season. McGinley was named the track & field assistant coach-of-the-year.
Gillis signs with Wyoming

The Saddleback women’s track & field program was back in the news this week when the T&F office announced that sophomore Anna Gillis has signed a letter of intent. Gillis signed with the University of Wyoming and will compete for the Cowboys this coming season.
Women’s T&F finishes 8th at state finals

The women’s track and field program finished in eighth place at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Track & Field Finals on Saturday in Bakersfield. It was the third best finish in program history for the Gauchos.
Gauchos finish 6th at SoCal Finals

The Saddleback women’s track & field team had a great finish at the Southern California Regional Finals on Saturday at San Diego Mesa College. The Gauchos finished sixth in the southern half of the state heading into the state finals next week.
Gillis wins SoCal title with new PR

The Saddleback women’s track & field team was participating at the Southern California Prelims this weekend and had a record-setting performance on day one. Anna Gillis set a personal-best in the hammer throw to capture the Southern California Regional title.
Gauchos hammer way into third place

The Saddleback women’s track & field team finished in third place at the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Friday in Riverside. The Gauchos had 14 qualifying scores for the SoCal Finals and showed dominance in the hammer throw.

The Saddleback track & field season is nearing the home stretch and a number of athletes are leaving their mark. The Gauchos have top-20 scores in the state from 13 different athletes in 12 different events heading into the final meets of the year.

The Saddleback women’s track & field team was in action on Friday, competing against a pair of Orange Empire Conference teams at Orange Coast College. The Gauchos were led by thrower Anna Gillis and runner Sara Fleming, who both won two events and set some personal highs along the way.
