Saddleback harrier wins weekly award

The Saddleback women's cross country program was back in the news on Wednesday when it was announced that freshman Danna Ibarra Canales has won the 5CTCA Runner-of-the-Week.   Ibarra Canales led all California community college runners at the UC Riverside Highlander Invitational this past Saturday. 

Ibarra Canales is the second Saddleback harrier to win the award this season as Payton Love won the award in late August.

Ibarra Canales crossed the finish line in the 6k event in 22:11.9, breaking the program record (on that course) set by Dana McGrath in 2019.

Ibarra Canales and the rest of the Bobcats have the week off before competing in the Orange Empire Conference Finals on October 27.
