Women second at OEC finals

The Saddleback women's cross country team finished second at the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Friday in Huntington Beach.  The Bobcats had four harriers make the all-conference squad.

Saddleback saved its best performance of the season for the big moment in finishing second on Friday.  The Bobcats were led by Casey Jones, who finished fourth overall.  Jones finished the 5k trek in 20:31.59, which was good enough for third in the team competition and qualified her for the the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team.  Joining Jones on the first team was Shaelynn Barbieri, who finished seventh overall and fifth in the team competition.  Barbieri crossed the finish line in 20:56.71.

Saddleback had two others make the All-Orange Empire Conference Second Team in Mia Arnwine and Naomi Roe.  Arnwine finished in 22:04.29 to finish 12th overall while Roe was 14th in a time of 22:09.90. 

Rounding out the team score for Saddleback was Lauren McKevitt, who finished 21st overall in a time of 23:48.95.

Saddleback now advances to the Southern California Regional Finals held in Bakersfield next Friday.
