Molly Andrews hired as women’s water polo coach

The Saddleback aquatics programs were back in the news this week with the announcement that Molly Andrews has been hired as the next head coach of the women's water polo program.

Andrews comes to Saddleback from Mt. San Antonio College where she was an assistant coach for one year.  Previous to Mt. SAC, she was an assistant coach at Orange Coast College for three years, helping the Pirates win an Orange Empire Conference title in 2017.

"I am extremely excited to join the Saddleback team this year," Andrews said.  "I have been involved in community college water polo for a few years now, and I truly believe Saddleback is exactly where I need to be. I have high hopes for the program in the coming years, and cannot wait to see where we can go."

While at Mt. San Antonio and Orange Coast, Andrews was in charge of organizing practices, game-day strategies and helping with recruiting.  In 2017, she was awarded the Sandy Nitta Distinguished Coaching Award from USA Water Polo.

Andrews has also been involved with the SOCAL Water Polo Club since 2015 and has been the head coach at Tustin High School.

Andrews received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Gannon University in 2012.  She then went on to get a Master's Degree in Education from Whittier College in 2014 and a Master's Degree in History from California State University at Fullerton in 2019.
