Historic season comes to a close

The Saddleback women’s volleyball team saw its 2023 season come to an end on Tuesday with a 3-2 loss to Orange Coast College in the regional semifinals. The Bobcats broke a 25-year slump in 2023 in what was a historic season.

Bobcats named the 5-seed

The Saddleback women’s volleyball team was named the No. 5 seed for the upcoming 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament on Thursday at the Southern California Coaches Meeting. The Bobcats will host Orange Coast College in a matchup of two Orange Empire Conference teams.

The Saddleback women’s volleyball team won its first conference title in 25 years and found out on Wednesday that they had six players and a coach make the All-Orange Empire Conference Team. Stila Fresenius was named the OEC MVP while head coach Brian Hughes won the OEC Coach-of-the-Year.

The Saddleback women’s volleyball team captured the Orange Empire Conference title on Friday night with a 3-2 win against Cypress College inside the gymnasium. It was the first conference title since 1997.

Fresenius wins weekly award

The Saddleback women’s volleyball program is back in the news on Monday as one of its players was awarded the California Community College Women’s Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) State Player-of-the-Week. Freshman Stila Fresenius led the Bobcats to two big wins last week.
