Bobcats sweep away Hawks

The Saddleback women's volleyball team defeated Santiago Canyon College, 3-0, in women's volleyball on Wednesday night inside the Saddleback gymnasium.  The Bobcats outhit the Hawks throughout in cruising to the win.

Saddleback jumped out of the gate quickly, blasting Santiago Canyon 25-13 in the opening set.  The Bobcats then won a closer battle in set two, 25-21, before coming from behind to win in the third set, 25-23.

Saddleback was dominant on the outside with Sydney Brown, Kenzie Huston (pictured) and Jolie Robinson providing a lot of offense.  The trio combined for 27 kills and 32 digs while Lilyann Horner finished with seven kills and seven digs.  The Bobcats were also clean from the service line, finishing with eight aces and just four service errors. 

Saddleback is now 12-8 overall and 7-7 in Orange Empire Conference play following the win.  The Bobcats will host Irvine Valley College on Friday at 6:00 PM and finish the regular season by hosting Orange Coast College next Wednesday at 3:00 PM.
