Robinson says yes to Anteaters

The Saddleback women's track & field team was back in the news this week with the announcement of an athlete committing to a four-year university.  Standout Jolie Robinson made a commitment to UC Irvine, were she will compete for the Anteaters.

Robinson led Saddleback to a third place finish at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Finals this past May.  She won three events at the state meet and was named the California Community College Sports Information (CCCSIA) Athlete-of-the-Month as a result.

Robinson shattered the program record in the heptathlon with 4,651 points at the state finals.  She also captured the state title in both the javelin and long jump.  As a result, Robinson was named the Outstanding Women's Field Performer at the state meet.

Robinson will head to UC Irvine, located in Irvine, California.  The Anteaters compete at the NCAA DI level within the Big West Conference.

Robinson came to Saddleback from Capistrano Valley High School where she lettered in track & field and volleyball before graduating in 2019.
