Robinson captures CCCSIA Athlete-of-the-Month

The Saddleback women's track & field program finished up its best finish in program history this past month and the accolades continue to pile up.  Jolie Robinson can add another title to her trophy case after being named the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) Women's Athlete-of-the-Month for May.

Robinson had a gigantic season for Saddleback, winning three state titles and leading the team to a third place finish at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships in May.  She shattered the program record in the heptathlon with 4,651 points at the state finals.  She also captured the state title in the javelin and long jump.  As a result, Robinson was named the Outstanding Women's Field Performer at the state meet.

Robinson won five events at the Orange Empire Conference Finals earlier in the month, capturing the heptathlon, long jump, triple jump, javelin and 100-meter hurdles.

Robinson was joined by Folsom Lake College's Giacomo Sorrentino, who won the Men's Athlete-of-the-Month after winning the state individual title in golf.
